- Offers showers, cooking, rec-room, patio for slip rental customers
- Project was approved by the Planning Board with restrictions
- DES Approval still pending
- This is where MerNIA has been spending its money
Creation of Page Pond Town Forest
- Town is considering purchase of "The Wilds" property
- 567 acre Page Pond area is on Meredith Neck
- Trust for Public Land wants to create Page Pond Town Forest
- Alternative could be development of up to 189 housing units
- Many MerNIA members strongly support this project
- (MerNIA as an organization has not taken a position on this project,
nor are MerNIA funds being used to support it
NH DOT Committee planning traffic solutions for next 25 years
- Focused primarily on Rts3/25 through Meredith
- Committee formed by Citizens of Meredith and nearby communities
- Committee is weighing alternatives and seeking community input
- Meetings for community input meetings will be held in August 2008
Boating Speed Limit passed for Lake Winnipesaukee
- Effective Jan 1, 2009 for two years only
- Much work was done to make this happen
- More work needed to make it permanent
New Comprehensive Shoreline Protection Act effective July 1, 2008
- Breaks shoreline into zones of 250', 150' and 50' with differing rules for each
- Lots of info available online from DES
